Anyone else get the safety recall for the door latches? Recall number R-24-06. Apparently door latches are not always latching closed fully. And sometimes are not returning to the fully closed position. Polaris does not have a permanent solution as of yet. But supposed to have one some time this month. In the mean time, owners are to verify that the door handle is flush with the lock bezel, once in the machine and door is closed. By reaching out the window.

I've not heard or seen anything from Polaris or my dealer yet, I do know some people here and have a cousin that has problems with them locking on their own.

Been a couple members had issues but first I have heard anything official.
Once again, if it is a possible safety concern they are quick to respond but nothing being done on the clunk.

I just received my email yesterday. My VIN number falls into the affected machines. Email says I’ll be contacted again, when a permanent fix is issued.

Nothing here. No problems either. But mine will lock itself without the key.

I haven’t had that happen, or a door open on its own. But definitely don’t want a door to open with wind force to cause more damage than needed or wanted. I do usually lock my doors when I tow it on the flat bed just cause. But don’t want that to happen going down the road at speed.

Seen that happen to front door on a xp1000. Door was junk. With ours yikes it would be a disaster.

I've thought about wrapping a strap around the cab when I tow it. Since this has come up I think I will rig something up before I tow again.

Had it happen today on driver door at 45 mph.
Door had been closed securely prior to and came wide open and folded back on its own!
No damage to the door that I can find.
I believe the mirror actually helped by not allowing it to fold back completely back.

I'm really surprised that there was no damage after flying open at 45 MPH. It's been a while, but a member here had the aluminum lugs break off the door hinge when the wind caught the door and blew it open when parked.
