Bed Size Info needed for Tool Box

Bumped thread for Ranger Rick looking for a bed storage box.

Bumped thread for WoodsRanger looking for information on toolbox. Looks like Wincollector had a stock 30" spare tire in the bed and NOT the 32" BFG KM3's he has on his rig.

Bumped thread for MrT looking for toolbox information.
MrT - Notice that my toolbox and Wincollector's toolbox are slightly different. They both are the same depth, but I have the low profile (more of the box sits below the bed) and he does not (more of the toolbox sits above the bed) Everything else is the same.

I'm here with toolbox info!

We ordered this box from Kolpin. I've linked the pictures - just click on them to go directly to the items.

They also have this mounting kit.

Fits great and looks great - an affordable option too!

Thanks for sharing another toolbox option as there are not a lot out there for the Ranger 1500 XD. That said it's not much more affordable than the UWS Toolbox I have (only $50 less) and IMHO does not look as "finished" when installed on the XD. The box was designed for normal size UTV's and the mounting plates are needed to bridge the wider box of the XD. The mounting brackets also create a gap between the front of the bed and the toolbox which waste space in the bed. That said the mounting brackets will make it easier to remove than mine is (could be important for some) and the mat texture may be more appealing to some. Thanks for sharing another option and posting great pictures of the box installed on an XD

Big Red - Did UWS have a deeper box like this one posted or just the lower profile like you installed?

UWS has several boxes available in the 63" length. 2 are slim lines at 13" wide. One is a low profile like mine and the other one sits higher above the bed like the Koplin. If you look at the pictures Wincollector posted on this thread, you will see the difference in the two. They both are the same size, but the low profile sits deeper into the bed. They are about the same width and height as the Koplin just a little longer. They also have a 20" wide version if you want a bigger box most likely in both styles as well. All boxes are offered in Brite Tread or Gloss Black. Looks like they dropped in price by about $$40 as well. I will attach links to them on Amazon.

Pics of the new toolbox installed on the Ranger. The UWS 63" is the perfect width for this machine. I went with the Slim Line low profile, many other options to suit your taste or needs.
Good afternoon. I know this is an older post but I just ordered the UWS 63" for my 1500. Seems to be a great fit. Any idea on the weight of it? Thanks!

According to Amazon it's 40 lbs.

I love mine.....wouldn't change a thing. I have the low-profile version so from the side view you don't hardly even know it's there. I store lots of tools, tow ropes, and other things there that don't want to litter the cab. It also holds 2 long guns when I want it to. I'm a big fan and have never taken it off since I installed it.

Thanks Big Red!! I obviously missed that.
Still liking yours?
If I had 1 complaint it would be that the struts they use to raise the lid are very strong.........too strong for my liking. That said the lid is very rigid and it doesn't twist when you close it from one side.

Wonder if we could swap out the struts. I'm stoked to get my and installed. Need my machine from dealer first!

Here is a much cheaper Amazon option for a toolbox, it's the same size of the UWS or Kolpin but deeper as it almost goes to the bottom of the bed. Not the best one out there IMHO but by far the most affordable. The video should tell and show you anything you need to know.
