You have more faith in that top bar than I do. The bolts that hold it on are just thread cutters into the bumper and doubt that bar is very thick. I could be wrong and hope I am, but it just seems the weight of the plow might be more than what the bar could support long term. That said I like the set-up, and I bet it functions great.
I want to do it this way until Polaris finally gets a beefier hydraulic lift unit available. I’m thinking the four bolts that go in nearly horizontally would have to shear for failure. Our first snow is late this year, but we’re about to get a bunch which will be a good test.
I decided to not temp fate. I can’t use the rod that came with the plow for connecting the winch hook to. It is too long and won’t allow lifting the plow high enough. So I am using a stainless D-shackle in its place. So winch line now goes straight from winch to that shackle and it raises plenty high. That also allows the auto stop feature to work.
All though I like your Enginuity with the snatch block setup, I had the same problem with the rod being to long. I cut out several inches out of the middle and had a shop weld it back together. works grate now.

Same here. I made our 2 acre pond 40 years ago , normally down an inch or so in September but refilled by now but we are still 4" low. Getting some moisture now

So I don't know about the hydraulic lift or tilt but I have no problem with the winch lifting my plow high enough. I don't know if my arm is different than some others here or if some want it to raise it above their hood. I've never measured how high it goes but I'm guessing the bottom of the plow is 16" off the ground or so which is more than enough for me.
