I’d have to say mine doesn’t have that whine either. Not loud enough for me to even notice. Have you checked your transmission fluid level? I’ve heard some machines have left the factory slightly under filled. My dealer has even mentioned that.
Welcome aboard! I like your color choice. I’ve heard those expeditions are super noisy in the cab. For that reason, I didn’t even give them a chance. I was interested in them when they came out, then Polaris introduced the XD and mind was made up.
There is no need for the 25 hour break in oil change unless you want to. Technically and to follow the maintenance schedule and Polaris recommendations, you don’t need to change the oil until the 200 hour/2000 mile mark. I did have my oil, front and rear diffs changed at around 90 hours/900...
Make sure your foot is on the brake. When you press the brake pedal, there should be an audible click, once you hear the click, then you can shift into a gear. If your not hearing a click, then the brake pedal interlock, might need to be adjusted, if that’s possible.

What I have found that works best from owing an xp 1000 and an XD 1500. I go around at night with a flashlight and a second person and check for any light penetration. There is some drain holes, gaps, etc. once you find those and seal those up, you should be a lot better. It won’t be vehicle...
