I agree, I think the words extreme duty, could be removed. Don’t get me wrong, I love my XD over my XP. But there should have been some better QC before letting customer purchase.
So I’ve been following this thread, and I’m getting the assumption that the winch doesn’t allow it to lift high enough, the vertical hydraulics don’t have the capacity and the tilt hydraulics aren’t long enough to tilt far enough to the right? Is all this correct?
I’m picking up my blade and...
The second time I took my machine in, they supposedly did check both rear axles and all was ok for “play” and that Polaris cancelled the loctite “fix”, so that was not done. I know if I get stranded due to it, there will be no mercy on Polaris. My wife is great at arguing especially at a...
I was sent an email for the door latch recall due to my VIN involved with the recall. There is no permanent fix/solution yet. I was informed that I would get another email when there is one.
I believe if you go to Polaris’s website or use the app, you can look up your VIN for any recalls.
Same. I decided to use my truck to go from my camp on one end of my hunting unit to go to the far other side, for an overnight trip. Due to fear of being stranded from the clunk. Which it’s still doing, and I’ve been to the dealer twice for it.
I’ve never had an issue with locking or unlocking a door. I wonder if it has anything to do with the latches not closing fully on some machines. There is a recall for it. I made a post a couple days regarding the recall. Basically the latches are not fully resetting fully in.
Wow, I’ve never seen that before. Even my XP which had just a little over 4k miles on it, looked just fine. I guess I’ll need to check mine around the 2K mile mark just in case. I wonder if we need to start carrying serpentine belts instead of drive belts. I was hoping to not have to carry or...
I haven’t had that happen, or a door open on its own. But definitely don’t want a door to open with wind force to cause more damage than needed or wanted. I do usually lock my doors when I tow it on the flat bed just cause. But don’t want that to happen going down the road at speed.
I just received my email yesterday. My VIN number falls into the affected machines. Email says I’ll be contacted again, when a permanent fix is issued.
Anyone else get the safety recall for the door latches? Recall number R-24-06. Apparently door latches are not always latching closed fully. And sometimes are not returning to the fully closed position. Polaris does not have a permanent solution as of yet. But supposed to have one some time this...
I have the dealer do all my maintenance when there’s a warranty involved. That way there’s no question if anything was actually maintained or serviced.
Thanks! We have fresh tracks and scat almost every day. Still looking for the right one to skin out. They’re so abundant, that I’m being picky. Have a good badger in the freezer. Want a good dog to go with it for a good taxidermy scene.
So we live on some acreage, surrounded by 19K acres of public land. So there’s obviously a problem with rodents, peculiarly pack rats!! So we try to have several cats on hand. Along with live traps, bait stations, etc. well recently we lost one of our cats out of the blue. Could’ve been a hawk...
Welcome buzzman, I do like your color choice. I might have swung that way if it was available. I like the camo also for the concealed look when it sits in the woods for a few days.
