Curious sir, do you have a six seater? Just noticed noticed the two that replied so far with no clunk are single cabs.

500 miles 95 HRs Clearly left side 6 seater I only hear it at low speed but I have hearing loss 100% a rotational noise, gassing and letting off does nothing I torqued the axle nut to the 88lbs and for two days thought that was the cure but noise is now louder and more constant I jacked both...

    Clunk discussion

Manny of us now have the "clunking" noise in the rear of our 1500. It is mentioned in many places on this forum with numerous different thoughts of where it originates and exactly what makes this annoying noise. Coincidentally Polaris released a video on how to remove an axle and specific...

How to Remove Rear Axles by Polaris

First, thanks Big Red for posting this, you seem to always find informative topics. All the emphasis they placed on the removal of existing loctite and then the exact product numbers for reassembling makes me believe this is the dreaded clunk repair. I will definitely be performing this...

How many miles, hours, and issues have you had?

Though I don't spend the extra on corn free for Rangers and lawn equipment I always thought exactly the same.

How many miles, hours, and issues have you had?

OK now I understand. I thought there was more to ethanol than just green house emissions and your dealer was suggesting the lack of ethanol was causing backfire. Mine has never had anything but the minimum level suggested with no backfire. I don't buy ethanol free for anything other dirt...

How many miles, hours, and issues have you had?

I don't know Manual says minimum 87 with UP TO 10% corn but no mention of ethanol actually being required. REC-90 which is non-ethanal fuel stands for recreational fuel fo motorcycles, boats, chainsaws, etc as the ethanol has been proven to be harmful to certain plastics and rubber in...

Polaris clearly needs to clean the slate with you and send you a new machine

How many miles, hours, and issues have you had?

This is a great idea Big Red. 500 ish miles Radio reception sucks- better with after market antenna Drivers window won't roll all the way up unless engine is running- all the tracks and seals I can see are in place so why does the extra volt or two from the alternator provide enough power...

Anyone having problem with there 1500 doors locking by themselves? My friend has had it happen several times, I know it sounds crazy.

I follow this forum fairly close, this is the first I have heard of it. Some of us are a little annoyed with the effort required to lock them because you have to use the key.

3000 km both rear axles worn out

Mine has just 500 miles and the dreaded clunk has intensified. Since Clubbins unhitched I lam wondering if the left side is too short as that is the same side as mine. Mine feel tight so wondering if it is just pulling them to their outer limit. Either way, once again Polaris released these...
