I believe I stopped by Erv's in Tomahawk many moons ago, did he used to sell Victory motorcycles? When we rolled into town they were getting ready for a motorcycle event over the weekend, we didn't stay for it and motored on. Seemed like a nice town but we were on our way back home and were running late due to weather.
Big Red, most likely you stopped by in September when Tomahawk celebrates the Harley Davidson fall ride as we have a Harley plant here. And you are correct.. Erv's was a Victory dealer in the past. North Central Wisconsin has a good number of ATV/UTV areas with great trails and logging roads available for riding. Join us sometime. Best....Jeff@Boyles

It would have been in September as the couple we used to ride with always wanted to take our trip shortly before harvest began. If I remember right Erv's was on the left as we pulled into town, I think I even bought a t-shirt there. I've done some SXS riding in northern Wisconsin 3-4 years ago with the same couple we used to ride bikes with. We rented a house and spent a week riding, drinking, eating, and drinking some more.

Hey Oneal, I live in Tripoli WI and bought my 1500 from Erv's in Tomahawk. They are aware of the 3,000 limitation on the 5 passenger XD and will tell you that Wisconsin will not sell you a required registration for the Crew XD. The registration is required for road riding here. I believe the same is true in Minnesota, but they have a 2,500 max weight, so my 3 person machine is not Minnesota friendly at this time. Although these limits will probably change, I do believe these registration limitations still exist.

The road/trail trips I have been on here are fantastic. My buddy Eddie has introduced me to rides to Hayward, Hurley and Eagle River and at 67, I enjoy a more "mature" ride that has been up to 145 miles per day. It's great to have a trail guide with familiarity of the state. (Thanks Eddie!)

Stay riding my friend...
Thank you !
