Rear cargo light switch

So the rear cargo switch is a three position:
1=off
2=I don't know
3=cargo light on

What does position 2 do? Mine does nothing in position 2 and I'm wondering if something is not working???????

It turns on when you shift to reverse.

As said above it comes on when you reverse. This is not only helpful at night but also makes it obvious to others when you are going to back-up. #3 the on position is not only good when you need light out back when it's dark, it also can serve as a "chase light" when driving in dusty conditions to make you easier to see for those that are following.
