New 1500 Northstar Codes

Dealer checked the speed sensor they could get to as other 2 are inside the transmission. It was good so Polaris had them change the wiring harness which has fixed problems so far.

Seems like when it ends up being an electrical issue they are relentless making dealers run in circles chasing problems

With our 2019 crew I had a number of lights come on and it went into limp mode. Ended up replacing the battery which “cured” the issue … assuming low voltage.

With the 1500, after the second day I had the Check Engine and the Transmission Warning lights come on. Our use that day included a lot of very short stop/starts and lots of idling. Happened to read somewhere (not sure it if was in the manual, other Polaris supplied literature, forum, or someplace else) that even idling it’s possible the changing system will not keep up with battery draw depending on what’s turned on. Put it on the tender overnight and no more lights since.

With all the sensors on these units, low charge batteries can cause warning lights and error codes to occur.

Hopefully, that's all it was. Recently, I was trying to make a wiper intermittent switch work and pulled the battery down a bit. Ride Command sent me an email my battery was low.

After the Wiring harness replacement, my crew is still good. Hopefully no more issues occur.

That's good to hear. I have always been surprised that bad wiring harnesses happened, but there has definitely been numerous ones changed out and seems to correct pertaining issue.
In some ways a bad harness is better than those of us living with faulty splines on our axles and drive hubs. There is no bandage for a bad harness , they are forced to either change the harness or give you a new machine.
Polaris prescribes adding high strength glue to the bad axles.

My Ride Command app has told me several times that my battery was low, I'm assuming this machine must have a fairly large parasitic draw on the battery. It would not surprise me if the machine constantly talking to the app wasn't a big part of the problem.

I get that if I put it on and lift the box. That “low” warning shouldn’t even be a warning.
