Heat in the cab

@70charger, As soon as it warms up a little more I'm going to remove the fenders and clog up the holes. I've seen some others that used soft foam padding or foam rubber but I think using the expandable foam like you did would seal it the best. My question is, did it create any squeaks? And are you happy with the results, or have any regrets? I know it would be hard to remove once it's in there. Thank you for any response. Hopefully I only have to do this once. :)
I have this on my list as well.

There's a very large opening in front for the driveshaft. The output from the radiators blows right into that opening and under the floorboards, and toasts your legs in Summer or any warm day. I solved the problem by tearing up the floor and the center console and went crazy insulating with https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072WJWDCC?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1
Looks like a great product. On the early Rangers we used a material call dynamat, it was a great product as well.

I found this on YouTube this morning.......nothing really new but some newer members here might find it interesting.

We just went through this on our 2025. Removed both tunnels along with the front fender assemblies. Removed the back seat also. Used black spray insulation on all the front frame areas then used black gorilla tape over it to make it look like it belongs there. We used black pipe tape from Home Depot and put two layers on the coolant pipes throughout the tunnel along with lining the underside of both tunnels. Sealed up the under hood air filter tube where it comes through the firewall/plastic wall. Used dyno mat behind the rear seat area where the subwoofer goes and pipe tape insulation over the rest. My wife did the insulation on the coolant tubes and made it look perfect and almost factory because it's pretty tight in there. We spray the underside of the tunnel insulation with black Flex seal to waterproof it, and it gives it a factory look. There are some better ways to do this, but we can source this stuff locally and have had good luck with it in the past. Took us a day and a half to get this done along with a few beverages. The video above looks exactly like what we did.

It actually makes it quieter, and it has stopped a lot of the heat and air leaks. There are a lot of spots to get to when the fenders are off, but I think it's worth it even if it cuts 50% of the heat and air coming in. So far it has made a very noticeable improvement in ours. We did the extreme floor mats also.

On another subject, I think we have found a resolution for the Polaris rear subwoofer distortion but won't know for sure until Tuesday next week.

Is cold or hot air infiltration a warrantied item?

🤣....for the price you would think so but unfortunately it something you either deal with or try to make it better for your personal preference.

Nothing says you can't ask your dealer to fix or improve this issue, sometimes the squeaky wheel gets the grease. It will likely depend on what issue you have and how bad it is.

Just bought a new 1500. Love it except for one thing. Get over 40 mph and noticeable amount of heat comes from the floor and behind the dash. The ac overcomes it for the most part but if you roll your windows down when it's cooler outside it feels like the heaters on full blast! Tore the dash apart looking for leaks but couldn't really find anything. Anyone else having this issue.?
Look where the round frame tubing goes into the firewall beside the brake master cylinder.
It is a hole there bigger than a softball. Seal that off with spray foam and it stops 90% of the heat. Same thing on the passenger side.

If you remove the cabin air filter under the hood, you will see the opening around the tube. I used black RTV Silicone to seal it up. That helped a lot.

Sunday, driving down the road, whenever the cross wind (30+mph winds) hit driver side of vehicle, there was quite a bit of air coming thru inside door handle. Anyone else experienced this?
