Door Panel Removal

Has anybody taken off a door panel? I have to replace the check door snapped. I got a new one. I got all the bolts out from what I see but it's still stuck in the middle. I was parked on a hill. Snapped the door check somewhere on the inside of the door just went and bought a new one from the dealer now I'm stuck and can't figure out how to get this damn panel off so I can replace it.

I had to re read the post. Does it look like it lifts up? Or possibly plastic darts?

I'd like to know also. I've been thinking about rigging up some arm rests on the doors.

I have no idea what "I have to replace the check door snapped." is and have never tried to remove the door panel myself. My guess if all the visible fasteners have been removed then the panel must be forced either up, left, or right to unhook it from a hidden tab of some sort. It is also possible that there are hidden push darts that require the panel to be pulled out from the door frame. Not knowing can be a little unnerving since you never know how hard you can force it before the wrong thing snaps. I hope you get it off without having to buy more parts. Keep us posted!

I have not removed these yet but it surely snaps in, the entire machine plastic parts snap in.

Like other have said, I’ve never taken mine off. If it’s similar to an XP 1000 door panel, it should lift up and away from the hinge side. If all the screws, pins, etc are removed. I had to remove my drivers side door panel on my XP once for a broken/frayed window crank cable.
