As big red said, the only tune that I know of is from gilomen. They have a great reputation. My Polaris dealer supports and installs their products. As far as an exhaust goes, I haven’t seen anything. I’ll be talking to my dealer soon about the gilomen tune(s). I’m pretty sure they’re...
Hmm, well maybe I’ll switch how I tow mine when on the flat bed, and not in the enclosed. I do remember someone online experienced a roof flying off on an xp1000 northstar a couple years ago with their Ranger front facing on an open trailer due to the wind getting caught under the front lip of...
Hmm, I guess I’ve never thought about that. I haven’t had any issues towing mine that way. My dealer even suggested it because the front windshield cost a lot more to replace. I see a lot of people towing their sxs’s backed on around me.
I haven’t had any problems. When I use my flat bed to tow my ranger somewhere, I usually back it on though. So not sure if that would change things either, since the wind force would possibly help keep the door closed. I usually lock my doors also when on the flat bed.
Welcome, I have no issues with the roof leaking as of yet. Some have had the windshield leak around the windshield wiper, but my understanding is it’s an easy fix, just need to tighten something up. A search on that might help you out. I haven’t seen any metal half doors available. Companies...
Exactly. I had an acquaintance that, was buying the materials to change his own oil and fuel filters in his diesel truck. Kept the receipts, wrote the mileage down, etc. came time for warranty for something (can’t remember, been 15 or so years), dealer/manufacturer said that doesn’t confirm he...
Easy, been using makita for 15 years. Never had any issues. Batteries last forever. And unlike clubin, there’s very few contractors using Makita around here. Most are using Milwaukee. So, I don’t need to worry about tools or chargers “walking” away.
I haven’t yet. But I am going to talk to my dealer about it when I pick my machine up. Whenever I have the time to do that. They do install and I believe sell gilomen tuning products. So I’m hoping they may also be tuner friendly if a machine is under warranty, like my Ford dealer was.
I second what big red says. Over the years being on forums for all different kinds of things. That’s what these forums are usually all about. Members expressing their issues. I feel part of that is to give insight and help to others that may not have experienced those problems yet, so they can...
That’s not good to hear. I did tell my dealer that they needed to look at inner and outer CV’s and rear diff. My deer tag got cancelled so it’s not a big deal now, but for what we spent, I shouldn’t have to worry about getting stranded 20-30 miles from camp.
So what we call “clear gas is 91 octane, with 0 ethanol” you either hear it called clear gas, or ethanol free. But it’s always 91 octane.
Pump gas, is either:
Regular 87 octane with ethanol
Plus/mid grade 89 octane with ethanol
Premium 92 octane with ethanol.
All pump gas has 10% ethanol in...
Same, I’ve been running 91 “clear gas” for years. In all of my generators, saws, wood splitter, atv’s. When I spoke with my dealer about some issues I had while elk hunting. The first thing he asked was if I was running pump gas or clear. I said clear, and he said switch to pump for a couple...
All pump gas from gas stations has ethanol in it. That’s what they’re wanting at least 87 octane pump gas. Figured I’d run mid grade which is 89 octane. Worth a shot at being $2/gallon cheaper.
Here in Oregon, we are not allowed on any paved road. Only in small eastern Oregon towns do people get away with it. A lot of ranching/farming. I can get away with running down to my local store/gas station. It’s all rural and outside of city limits. But that’s about it.
900ish miles.
80ish hours
The rear end clunks. Which it’s in the shop for now. (Yes there is an update according to my dealer about applying loctite somewhere) also informed them of clubin’s axle replacement. So they’re inspecting those.
Uphill - when loading into my trailer to leave elk...
