84” Snow Plow

So I’ve been following this thread, and I’m getting the assumption that the winch doesn’t allow it to lift high enough, the vertical hydraulics don’t have the capacity and the tilt hydraulics aren’t long enough to tilt far enough to the right? Is all this correct?

I’m picking up my blade and mount tomorrow with the 2 sales that Polaris has going on. I didn’t want to pass it up.
I took the rod off and used a D-shackle on the clevis pin, then connected the winch line hook to the shackle — see photo. The shackle is stainless steel that came from my sailboat.

As for the hydraulic angle, the hydraulic actuator shown in the other photo is working fine for me. It angles the plow fully in both directions. Someone else had an issue with theirs, but when I zoomed in on the actuator label it had a different part number.

Here is mine. Same seems to work but us slow! Haven’t had snow to try it yet. So I can’t confirm if it works or not. But the part number is in fact different from yours, but all the other numbers are the same. Can anyone confirm if this part has been updated from the manufacturer?

That looks like it will work just fine too. One more thing I do with mine is use two tie raps on my winch rope, one on each side of the automatic winch stop to stop the winch at the height I select so I don't accidently over stress the blade when bringing it up each time.

Thanks everyone. I was able to get mine mounted and installed. The hydraulics aren’t available for either motion as of right now. But with what comes with the parts, mine will raise enough for me. We don’t get to much snow usually out where I’m at. But we have had some snowmageddons, where we’ve got 4’ which is a lot for us.

I did something similar using some cord.
