I’ve decided I want to tint the windows on my XD. Looking to do just the rear and side windows. Maybe a strip along the top of the windshield. I don’t think I want to go super dark like I would with my personal vehicles.

Which is why I’m asking if any members would please post some pics of their machines with tinted windows, and what percentage the tint is please. Hopefully that’ll help me decide.

Thanks!

I can't help you but wanted to say our machines look awesome tinted. I would love to do mine but with aging eyes and riding in heavy shade I always shied away. I never thought about a partial on the front.

Ours was done with 50 percent front & 20 percent side glass and rear window. Side windows were too dark at night to use the mirrors for backing up. Took it back and did 50 all around and like it much better now.

I have 5% rear, 20% sides, 35% on the windshield. I thought it would be too dark but it's not. With the rear being so dark it makes the whole thing look really dark from outside.

That’s my worry. I don’t want it to be to dark, especially for at night in case I’m in a tight spot or having to get turned around on an old single lane skidder road. Even with all lights on, I don’t want it to be hard to see.

I’ve called most of my local tint shops, and the choices of shades are 5, 20, or 35%’s. Or even lighter, but I know I’m either going with 20 or 35%’s.

Mine mainly gets used for hunting. Not that I’m a road hunter, but there has been several times that I’ve been cruising down a road and seen a critter off in the distance, and I don’t wanna lose to much visibility in that scenario.

How’s the visibility in the dark? I had a show car that had 2%, and at night it was a little difficult to verify there was no pedestrians or bikes at intersections of smaller cross streets with no street lights.

Evolve ceramic - hands down the way to go . 70% front - 30% driver and passenger front side -20% rear windows and back glass .

It's not bad at all. I was hesitant but the guy who I've always had tint my vehicles said that's what he would do and i trust his opinion. I'm glad i did. I would do it again

Thanks, I like that I can see through rear side windows in some of your pics. Thats a big help, thanks! I like your wheel and tire choice!

I think your shade might be what I’m looking for. Right now I’m leaning towards 20% sides and back. Then maybe 50% on windshield, or just a visor strip of 5% on the top 6-8”. Great looking rig!
Thanks - considering going 20% in summer . We hog hunt a lot at night . So far so good .

Copy, I think since pretty much all my main tint shops around me have either 5, 20, 35, and up, I’m gonna go with 20% rear and sides. Check it out and decide on the windshield at that time.
