Winch Remote...where do you put it?

Sorry if this is a noob question. Love the wireless remote for the winch, and it comes in a nifty little holder that looks as if it's supposed to be screwed down somewhere. Is there a standard place folks put this?

I thought the same thing. Then a light bulb went off and I decided to screw them down on the left and right side vertical walls of my lower glove box. That way if they fell out of the holders, they wouldn’t accidentally get lost if I didn’t know they fell out. In my XP I just had it loose in the upper glove box.

I have never really found a good place to mount it, so I just leave it in the glove box. If I'm doing something where I'm using it frequently, I leave it on the dash or the cubby hole under the steering column. When done back in the glove box.
