What’s New with Your Ranger XD this week? 🛠️

This a good idea, I will post the first one.
On the rare occasions I get a little spare time working on or modifying things is my relaxation. If it mows grass I will probably want to change something.

I recently installed a Thumper Fab Ultimate bed rack, there is write up on this forum. Since I have a light fetish I now have it apart. Here are some preliminary pictures

This was how the back did look,

This is how it is evolving

Having access to sheetmetal equipment I made a second back piece that fits snugly inside the Thumper piece

Cut out the light holes, now just some finishing work and off to be powder coated.

My boys informed me that the new 1500 was lacking the built-in fishing rod holders that our old ranger had. So we made a new mount this weekend. Looked good in plywood, might have to recut it out of some composite decking.

Surely, that came off a CNC ???
A little medium stain and some urethane would make that a show piece. Really, is without any stain.

What color are you going to Powder Coat the inside piece that you made. It looks good you do nice work !
Thank you. The color I have been using on all accents is a Prismatic brand- Wizzard red over super chrome. It's a pretty good match to our sunset red and because it is red it has less wind resistance.
