Just got my new 1500 XD..absolutely love it..one potential problem. After cranking and trying to shift to drive, the shifter sticks in Park..I have to pump the brake or try to move the shifter a little and will only shift after a noticeable electronic click sound. Doesn't do it all the time but about 50% of the time.Any comments are greatly appreciated!

Make sure your foot is on the brake. When you press the brake pedal, there should be an audible click, once you hear the click, then you can shift into a gear. If your not hearing a click, then the brake pedal interlock, might need to be adjusted, if that’s possible.

There should be no need to "pump" the brakes, If so something is wrong.
I have had a few experiences where i would be pressing the brake pedal but not hear the solenoid unlatch the shifter, but I would release and then press the brake again (not pump) and all is good

Like oneal and Mr.C said above.......Start machine, firmly put foot on the brake, listen for click, then shift. If you do not hear the click remove foot from brake and do it again with a little more force. I'm guessing it's just a learning curve issue and nothing more.
