Hello from Utah. I am coming over from the General xp4. I bought the new XD primarily for hunting and trail riding. I am a big game hunting guide here in Utah and put the machine to the test this last fall. I put over 1000 Miles on the machine with some desert but mostly mountain terrain. I have been watching this site for a while to gain some info and thanks to all for your input on several items. The rocky terrain here in Utah shredded the stock tires. I just upgraded to some 32" Alpha Valor and looking forward to trying them out. I did experience the low end power problem with the transmission. I had a client and a machine full of gear and powered out on one section of a trail. It was no problem if I hit it with some power but slow crawl it was stuck. I just upgraded the ECU with Gilomen and shout out to them for a 1 day turn around to get it back. I can see an instant change. More power in all scenarios including a lot more low end torque. I am constantly adding things to this machine and love it. The HVAC system is amazing for a Side by side. I used it in 95 degrees mountain riding as well as 5 degree snow hunting days. Enjoy!!!

Hey welcome Wasatch,
I hear a lot of good reports on the Alpha's.
REALLY like hearing the good report on Gilomen, there have been mixed reviews.
Like you I wish the tranny had a low range, tow/haul programming helps minimally but there are times mine needs a lower gear for hills and rocks.

Welcome, some nice racks you got there! Would love to hunt elk some day in Utah. I’ve loved my alpha tires so far. Still waiting to get out and try them in the snow though. Good to hear about Gilomen.
