Hopefully cat removal taken care of!

So we live on some acreage, surrounded by 19K acres of public land. So there’s obviously a problem with rodents, peculiarly pack rats!! So we try to have several cats on hand. Along with live traps, bait stations, etc. well recently we lost one of our cats out of the blue. Could’ve been a hawk or an owl, but this critter was wondering around the barn. So had to take care of business. 127 yards away with a .17hmr off the back porch at what I call grey light. Let it be a warning to the others. lol. Best coyote bait, is another coyote.

Nice shot! I have a 17hmr as well, I love the gun for small game and target shooting.

Ya, it’s favorite of mine. I don’t leave home with out it. Used to take the .22 everywhere, but now it sits. lol.

Nice shot. They are so easily spooked I’ve never plugged one of them.

We have lived in our heavily wooded land for forty years, hear them all the time and only seen a handful. The last few years we have been seeing more bobcats.

Thanks! We have fresh tracks and scat almost every day. Still looking for the right one to skin out. They’re so abundant, that I’m being picky. Have a good badger in the freezer. Want a good dog to go with it for a good taxidermy scene.
