Hello everyone,

I was wondering what lights everyone is installing on the front bumper? I have a factory brush guard it needs to fit within. Pictures and part information would be great appreciated.

I installed a Rigid 10” SR series combo light bar. The Pro Armor 11” would also fit, if one chose that brand.

Just the 10" Rigid right now for me on the bumper. With the 30" on top of the cab and all the other lights I have more than enough light at night.

I removed my bull bar and planning to install this. I'm gonna have to get a little creative with the mount since our bumper in angled where the bull bar mounts but i can figure it out. It gets here Wednesday... wish me luck

I've got the switch panel ready

I used to only buy Rigid lights, and they are great lights. That said there are so many budget options out there that perform really well that I quit wasting my money. Now if I ran a rally through the desert in the middle of the night, I could justify the cost of a premium light.........but that's not what mine is used for. I found one on Amazon that fits the space really well, is super easy to install, and has worked great for the last year and has no moisture issues as some cheap lights might have. I also got lazy on the wiring harness, I didn't even have to install a switch in the dash, but you could choose a different harness and do that if you desire. The light puts out an amazing amount of light considering how small it is, I was going to add one to the roof but really didn't find that I needed to. I have installed this same light on both of my brothers XD's and they were really impressed by it as well. All in it cost about $70. I will attach pictures and the link to parts on Amazon if anyone is interested.

You really can only judge lights by the old addage "You get what you pay for". You can purchase a $30 light that claims 10,000 lumens or $300 light that claims 300 lumens , wattage is a better indicator.
If your intent is road riding without a lot of off road abuse a less expensive light will be fine but if you want to light up the woods look at names like Black Oak, Baja Designs, Novslight, Morimotot, KC , and of course Rigid.
I recently installed a middle of the line Extreme LED on our Kubota RTV, it is no Rigid level but costs about 50% less, and includes Sasquatch lights. : - )

I fully agree with oneal with the Lumen example he gave above, many claim more lumens than the wattage could actually provide. When I was searching for a light, I watched several videos that proved this by people that were testing many brands and measuring the actual lumen output. For those that are really into lights at that level there is plenty of information out there to help you decide. For the most part I also agree that you "get what you pay for" but I also agree that you might be paying more for something you don't need and sometimes part of that cost is the name printed on the box.

The back light was a Polaris freebie from 15ish years ago but was manufactured by Rigid.

Like it was made for it.

Here are the switches. I wired the bar to dim when the low beams are on.

It's a little different light pattern. Jack of all trades but master of none. Each little cube of two bulbs is a sealed unit with two different color leds. They are removable and replacable which is nice. The relays/controler is in the light so you just wire it to your switches. To get all the functions out of it you really need 5 switches. I just did three and wired the dim function to my headlight switch.

In white light mode the two outside pods are spot beams and the center is a flood. In IR mode there is one spot and one flood. In amber they all light but it's an asymmetrical mix of spot and flood.
So each pod has amber leds and either white or IR.

I really like it but if I wanted an all out bright white light I'd go baja designs. I've had there lights and they are impressive. I got it for the IR but now I'm really liking the amber. I never even looked into amber lights but now i love them. For what i do they are prefect. If i didn't want the IR, the white and amber version would be the way to go. Maybe down the road I'll swap out the IR/amber pods for white/amber pods.

That’s really cool that they’re all interchangeable. I’ve never seen lights that have that ability before.

There are bolts on the front holding them in and they are wired in with waterproof plugs. You can order the pods and do it yourself. Since they are sealed glass you should never get condensation in them.

It's a cool design for sure.... and i don't work for them or anything, i just bought them. Funny i feel the need to say that but these days everybodys got an angle.

I put an 8" light bar (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076L3JQBY?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1) on my bumper, which I have found to be an excellent light at a very attractive price. I'm going to replace it with the 13.5" version even though the 8" has been fine. I just want as much light as I can get, as I do a lot of night trail rides. I power it from an Auxbeam AR-820, which I mounted behind the antenna under the hood.
