I don't know squat about shocks but came accross this today. Sounds like these will be available for the XD by the end of February.

We had Zbros shocks on the previous Ranger 1000 Northstar with HCR suspension. They worked phenomenally well, so I’d expect nothing less on these.
In my opinion Shocks are a very worthwhile upgrade. Especially on these 1500s where the shocks they come with are extremely cheesy.

Now, if you want to see a Ranger XD1500 with Dynamix…

Ok… not really 😂
It’s SDI Ecliks, but they tie into the ECU and display the information on the Ride Command as Dynamix. They have a touchscreen and rotary controller for changing modes a setting up how the shocks work.

You can set them for Trail where they’ll float across bumps twists and ruts, or highway and they’ll automatically stiffen to lessen pitch and roll even more than swaybars. There’s a bunch of other features as well and highly customizable.

They are a bit on the pricy side but so is the machine. 🤷‍♂️

JT, I have been thinking about taking the sway bars off, but these things have enough roll to them as they are. With the SDI, can the sway bars be removed, or is it recommended to keep them on?

The HCR Mid Travel suspension for the XD 1500 didn’t even have ears to hook up the front sway bar, so we removed it. We haven’t tried with the rear sway bar unhooked but when the shocks are in highway mode it’s every bit as stable as it was with the front sway bar in place.
I’m guessing that having the rear one remain is still a good thing so when it’s running in trail/ desert mode it doesn’t get too floppy. There is a fair amount of customization you can do though and we haven’t played with that very much.
