I've got about 3500 miles on my machine now. My ride command and instrument display always worked perfectly until I got the transmission update a couple weeks ago. Now it goes light to dark, dim to bright and back again. As far as I know the transmission update is all my dealer did since everything else was recently updated. Why in the hell would a tranny update screw up my displays? Just can't get my head around this one.

Could just be a coincident, could be there was a reboot function that messed with the Ride Command settings, could just be an electronic bug that these things seem to have from time to time. Whatever caused it there is a 90% chance no one at Polaris really knows what happened or why. More than likely, they will suggest reloading the latest software and "see what happens" That was the GPS fix for my brothers Ride Command, reload the same software you already have.........?? Sounds stupid but it worked.

Mine from day one changed screens when we go in and out of the woods, I thought it is the norm.

BTW, how is the clunk ?

Mine has done it since new too. Easy to fix turn headlight switch one click clockwise.

Mine sometimes does it, but not always. I do the same thing as clubin, just turn the headlight switch one click. Then sometimes a few minutes later I can turn the switch to the full off mode and the screen will stay.

The loctite fix quieted it down some at first, it's getting a little louder all the time. I figured it would, just a matter of time until the loctite gets ground out of there. I guess I will just keep driving it and turn up the tunes.
