I'm sorry you live in Kansas, that makes it harder to choose. Please don't be offended as I rode motorcycles for over 20 years and only Kansas and Nebraska were less interesting than Iowa where I live. Yes, we all have our unique charms but let's face it there are more scenic places in this...
I think wheel nets are great but not necessarily required to tow safely. If it's a dedicated UTV trailer and you tow a lot, it's likely the best option. That said if you use your trailer for other task, you might not be fond of the e-tracks or other dedicated mounting locations for the nets to...
The town is Hatfied Wisconsin and a lot of the trails are in Jackson county. You can Google it and find out more information. I saved the trail map and see if I can post it here.
Since you know what the XP 1000 and Expedition sound like you owe it to yourself to take a ride in an XD. My preference is Comfort Mode which gives you plenty of power and drops the RPM's by 1000 when compared to Sport Mode. The steel drive tranny is super smooth and almost feels like an...
Oh God no, the Expedition is much louder than a 1000 XP or Can Am Defender. The XD is probably half as loud as the Expedition and as far as I know it's the quietest SXS on the market today.
There are hundreds of miles of UTV / Snowmobile trails in northern Wisconsin that are well marked, wide and well groomed. Plenty of stops through small towns that have fuel, food, and booze. The locals support the sport and cater to the riders, but the local Po Po will stop and talk to you if...
I had always heard that you should not tow an enclosed cab machine backwards because the rear glass panel was not designed to take the force of the wind at highway speeds. Of course, if it was an open cab machine it would not make a difference. To see if there was any truth to this, I did a...
For a minute I thought I was also being inflicted with the dreaded "axle clunk" then I realized I the 12-pak broke and there really were beer cans rolling around my bed.
I already had the 16" chainsaw and the M12 Hatchet and love them both. The new Top Handle 14" saw was just a guilty pleasure because I'm a tool guy and just had to have it. As far as batteries go I have enough to cut more than I would ever want to. I have 3 - 12 amp hour, and 10 - 8 amp hour...
Mr.C - I too always lock my doors when I trailer the XD, it just seems to make sense to me. I was always under the impression that SXS should not be towed backwards as the rear window is not designed to take the pressure. Have you ever experienced any issues from doing it that way?
If I had no stereo this might be an option. I already have the Ride Command which is my stereo and is decent but not great. I would like it to be better but have no desire to try to figure out how to integrate all these components into my existing set-up. For me the juice just isn't worth the...
Thanks for providing another option for floor mats, this might be a good choice for some here. Personally, I like the 1-piece mat without a slit and has a lip to hold water and sand, for me they are just easier to remove and clean without making a mess.
And in there lies the million-dollar question, can you find the right parts to integrate with the Ride Command without causing a bunch of problems or spending a fortune to figure it out. Personally, I would just like to have 2 more speakers in the rear that are as good as the front.
