Good write up oneal, thanks for the photos and description. I still don't have the "clunk" and hope I don't get it. I wonder if there was a running change that happened where some of the earlier machines had it and it maybe got better along the way?? I got mine January 6th, was yours produced...
Well, the family ride finally happened. My sister and brother-in-law came up from Arkansas for my mom's 93rd birthday. So, the 4 kids (and spouses) took Mom on a "Ranger Ride" and did a little bar hopping along the way. Here's a few pictures from our family ride.
I always jack under the front or rear gear case as oneal said above. I have a Badlands Off-Road jack that has enough lift to do this, most floor jacks won't unless you use blocks of wood to increase the lift.
I don't know what "Slip on" is, are you talking about an exhaust? As for tunes Giloman supposedly has a tune out but I can't tell you anything about it other than they have a strong reputation for doing good work.

The small town I was thinking of was Nemo SD. Several UTV's running around with tons of cabins / houses to rent and plenty of places to camp. I tried to upload the trail map for the area but it was too large. Info is easy to find just google UTV South Dakota
