Not knowing your location you are likely fine. Razorback is close to Oregon @ 2000 miles from me. I was pretty sure when I received the next day email my projected delivery date was a mistake and was not disappointed.

Funny, the evening after I placed my rear cargo rack rder I received an email stating my order would arrive tomorrow which is a jaunt to the center of Ohio. That was four days ago and mine has not left Idaho yet. Hope yours different.
I think if it is very technical they are indeed short on umph. Thumper fab done a shoot out between 1500 and 1000 popo crew in very technical rock section and you could visibly view how much better the 1000 would step up on rocks due to the low range
I also appreciate your report. How did the spent oil look ? Every automotive tranny I did the old oil didn't look much different than the new. Filter have any debris in it?

For me it was just a learning curve to the go peddle. Seems as though there is hesitation in the transmission engagement compared to all my previous rubber belts (Honda Pioneer excluded). I try to feel & understand mine every time we charge up a hill which a couple of them having sharp turns...
I agree with both of you, no way will I drop 3500 on something that I feel should have been included. I built many 750 triples for the strip and a couple 1000's that touched 9 seconds, I will handle anything mechanical after my year is up. My fears and weakness is on the electronic side...
When I purchased my 1500 a HUGE detail that helped persuade my purchase decision was the 3 year drive train warranty. It convinced me Polaris has great confidence in this design and new tranny.

Years back when leaking valve seals were an occasional issue the symptoms were similar, it would be interesting the next time it does it to immediately shut it down and check that plug for oil residue.
Man, you have to have first place for the most gnarly 1500 on the planet.
By the looks of the one in the background this is not your first merry go round.
