I know some of you have been getting some heavy snow already. This is my setup, not that we have had butt about 4 inches so for this year.

I’ve only had a dusting so far this year. So no reason to bust out the plow yet. It’ll probably come late again, and screw up spring bear season.

My snow plow is like an insurance policy, I want it, I need it, but I prefer not to use it. Yes, it's fun to use in a manly man sort of way, but it's also comes with snow blower and shovel work that is less fun for sure.

Same here Big Red. I do appreciate having snow, but know how you feel. The worst part for me is clearing the roof of the house. Other than that, I don’t do very much shoveling, just plow it all.

I don’t shovel. I only do the fun stuff.

About the same for me. Few times a year I have to jump in the bobcat and clear the snow.

Some of the areas I clear are much better suited for the snowblower, the Ranger and plow are just too big to get in tighter spaces. I do my driveway, my neighbor's (1 to 3) depending on snowfall, my mother's driveway, and my brother's storage building. The Ranger just can't get the sidewalks, entry doors, and steps. If we get a big snowfall over a weekend I generally cruise around and help out whoever needs it.

Finally getting some snow today. Have about 2”. Maybe I’ll get to play and make a couple empties when I get home from work.

We got maybe 2-3 inches of white fluffy snow today, not enough to put the blade on for. So, I gave my snowblower a little work to make sure she was ready for the season. For a snow blower this thing is a beast, it has a 420 cc fuel injected engine and a hydro transmission. Love this thing.

In the sixties and seventies here in the center of Ohio we had real winters,,,,,even a couple sever blizzards. My brother and I had a snow plow buisiness that done well.
We still get an occasional ice storm and sporadic snow but our climate has definitely changed. We need a good freeze to decrease the tic and stink bug population.

I’ve heard great things about Arien brand. We didn’t get enough for me to plow either. Ended up with only about 3” at the house. We’re a little further east and part of the banana belt, so it can differ quite a bit. But usually we don’t get the snow accumulation town and south of us gets.

Right now we are getting freezing rain which there is not much you can do for it but skate on it. Supposed to get above freezing later today so hopefully it melts quickly.

Freezing rain is no fun! We usually don’t run all our guys at work when we have that. It’s either my owner or myself and only emergency type service calls. We don’t put extension ladders out either.

Agreed, been 25 years ago conditions were right (or wrong) and we had 3/8" build up on trees, streets, and everywhere else. Power was out for days, our woods sounded like a skeet range with limbs up 6" diameter popping off like gunfire. I was the rest of the winter cleaning up.
