Reverse Lights question

Does anyone know if the XD has a preinstalled harness for backup/reverse lights when the unit is in reverse? If not has anyone ever tried to mount a light bar and tie into the LED Cargo Box Light and Overhead Switch Panel?

Thanks in advance!!
JD

The LED Cargo box light has 3 modes, 1-Off, 2-On, and 3-Reverse light. So it already has what your looking for and it is VERY bright and likely is all you will need. If you need more you could always run a separate set to a switch.

I did not know that. Great info Big Red, all I need now is to get this thing painted red so it will go faster... Smiles
Thank you!!!

Try it out at night and let me know what you think. I know I was really impressed with how much light it puts out and I no longer have a need for cube lights in the back. Some will depending on what they are doing at night.

Same as big red. I have 2 lights mounted on top of my headache rack, and 2 in my rear bumper. But most of the time I only use the rear cargo light. If I’m in a tight spot with a lot of rocks, trees, or a cliff edge, I’ll turn on all the lights.

I mostly was hoping it was enough light to plow by as I wake up daily at 4:30 and I can see me plowing straight away. Sounds like it might be prefect. It is really dark in the Rocky Mountains at night.... really dark.

Same where I’m at. I’m outside our smaller city by 15 miles with no outside lights, street lights, etc.

I hooked the Rigid lights (ones on the outside) up to same circuit on the shifter . They quadruple the amount of reverse light, also act as third brake light. The KC in the middle is on a switch.

Would you mind telling us about this wheel and tire package. Beautiful set up and rig!!!
Thank you.
The wheels are 17" KMC Mesa slotted. I did not need or desire a forged wheel but they were out of Grenade Crawl and cut me a good deal. Wheel Pros has a young man named Colin that knows UTV's.
The tires are GBC Terra Master SQ 35x10R 17, 10 ply rating
I am old school and still prefer the aluminum deep dish look but wanted to try some 17's this round.
There is very little choice in 17" utv tires without going even bigger than 35's. Endless choices in DOT rated.
I found out the hard way not all 35's will clear. There have been some claim no rub or just a minor scrub but on day one I knew mine were going to quickly eat holes in the inner fenders. Our land is very rocky with many angle changes causing suspension flex so that may be the difference or could just be manufacturer measurement discrepancies.
I purchased S3 forward arms and could not be happier. Perfect fit, much beefier than OEM , and just look better.

She's a beauty!! Thanks for the detailed run through, nicely done!!!!

I thought this was a cool idea for additional light for a "no drill" application. These brands of lights may not hold up in this position depending on how you use your rig, but they could be swapped out for a rigid light after they go out. I thought the bracket was pretty cool and would give you light where needed.

Those look pretty cool. First thought was 4000 reviews can't be bad but then I seen the " frequently returned item" note so not sure.

I had a Nilight lightbar on my 2021 Ranger and was impressed by it. It never had an issue with moisture and worked great. Not the best looking light on the market but dirt cheap and they work well.
