Just replaced the serpentine belt and the alternator mud got in the housing on the front of the motor. Then once I get it charging good AC condenser recharged, which by the way is on back order. I'm glad I didn't pay for it because it wasn't needed to be replaced put it on the workbench scrape the mud out of it and it works just fine. Just had to get it recharged now most recent issue is the oil light comes on and the check engine light comes on and goes off taking it to the dealership now, just did a oil change on it as well It's topped off.

Update: Polaris "Hey Max, Ryan from CNC You gotta look at your machine talk to Polaris sound a little little bit and they want to replace the oil pressure sensor . They said they seen a few that have been putting out these bad sensors for the oil it's a known issue. Part will be here 3-5 days. ". There ya have it that's where we're at.

You are the first I have heard any engine oil related issues. Keep us posted
Dido to what oneal said. It's odd that it goes away with a little rpm, may it has low oil pressure?? Would be interesting to see what happens after a few miles but the safe bet is to have the dealer look at it since it's under warranty.

I will just wanted to keep everyone in the loop especially as much money as we pay. I'm curious if it's a faulty oil sending unit, oil sensor etc. I'm hoping it's a simple fix it has now been down 4 weeks and it's killing me! Lol

Yes sir that's the plan I'm hoping it's a simple fix that's for sure. It's really hard getting parts for these because they're so new.

Agreed, in a prior post I seized up my alternator, 2 pulleys and AC compressor. So I waited for the AC compressor for three weeks almost for now. Finally I got sick of it went picked it up. Took the alternator replace that took the AC compressor off took a knife scraped it around where the dirt was dried up and what do you know it? It was just fine. Put it back on worked perfectly just had to get it recharged. Dealership was going to charge me $900 for Just. The part.

That’s new one that I’ve seen. Definitely keep us all updated and hoping for a quick and easy outcome for ya.

The dealership said it was the oil pressure sensor they replaced it and said it was fixed. I wment to pick it up warmed it up and it started to have the same issue again. I think it could be the oil pump. Anyway they have a ticket open still I'll keep you updated.

Some dealers, argh. You sure would have thought they would have screwed in an analog gauge and checked actual pressures cold and hot. Then they could have compared reality with electronic readings rather than throw parts at it.

Now see that's a great question. You know more than me but I will ask them this tomorrow when they open. I think it could be the oil pump. But hell idk man. Curious to see what they say. The case is still open with Polaris for the sensor. Hoping to piggy back this problem with that open ticket.

I didn't mean to sound derogatory towards Polaris dealership mechanics. Most are young and haven't been working enough years to have obtained deep rooted analytical skills. But they will with time.
Indeed, logging data always helps identify the underlying issues.
You would be the first oil pump failure I personally have heard of but there has been a cracked intake port on this site and he seems to be the only???
The cool thing is, you have three years to get this behind you. That has to help you relax.

Hey man I appreciate any and all input my hope that is was something stupid and easy to fix It's been down longer than I've had it running. All I want to do it take the kids out in it. Just never would have thought I'd be having these issues just my damn luck. Lol

Seems crazy to me that the dealer said it was fixed when it clearly wasn't, how hard can it be to diagnose an oil sensor or an oil pump? I'm no mechanic but oil sensors and pumps are not exactly new technology that should drag out for a month.

Haha I think you were right man!

Update:
Well we found the unit to actually be loosing oil pressure once warmed up so we have forwarded our findings to polaris

It now has metal in the oil. They are making me pick it up and send it to my selling dealer. Might need a new engine.

Just got a call from the dealership today. Polaris wanted them to take the engine apart and run a few tests. Obviously there was a bunch of metal shavings in the oil further review of the case from Polaris Polaris is going to cover a brand new motor for me I should have it in a couple weeks, so I guess I'm the first one in the United States. They got a new motor and one of these? Lol
